CPD Seminar: Insurance Law

  • Principles of contract law governing the formation of insurance contracts
  • The concept and key elements of insurable interest
  • How the law insurable interest applies to the main classes of insurance.
  • Duty of fair presentation
  • The classification and interpretation of insurance contract terms
  • Legal principles of making insurance claim

Seminar Registration

Term & Conditions 

Registration on first come first served basis and will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.

 

Attendees must attend the entire Continuing Professional Development (CPD) course to receive CPD hours for that course.  Attendees will receive a certificate of attendance for the course, and the CII will send an electronic copy of the certificate to the email address provided by the attendee.  Attendees should retain this CPD course attendance certificate as evidence of Continuing Professional Training (CPD) hours.

 

Attendees are required to present their Hong Kong identity card or passport or driving license with photo to confirm their identity during the registration process and are required to sign to confirm their attendance before the class. Other forms of identification will not be accepted.

 

Code of Conduct for CPD Activities

We would ask all attendees attending this seminar adhering to the following code:

- Please be punctual and arrive before the start of the seminar,
- Please turn all telephones to silent mode,
- Please do not accept, make or conduct calls during the seminar,
- Please do not make noise that affects others and respect the speakers,
- Please do not read newspapers, books and the like during the seminar other than handouts,
- Please do not conduct private conversations during the seminar.

 

Do's and Don'ts for Virtual event:

- Attend the virtual classroom activity in an indoor setting conducive to learning, such as at home or office.

- Face the camera directly in the virtual classroom without any virtual or real coverup for verification purposes.

- Participants are required to turn on the camera during the session at all times. 1-hour CPD will be deducted if participants are late or camera is off for every 15 minutes.

- Use the raise hand button and chat box for participants to ask questions during the session.

- Don't perform multi tasks, such as attending the CPD activity while driving, taking transportation, walking or engaging in other activities concurrently.

- Don't fake attendance by using virtual images or video as background.

- Don't attend the CPD activity in an environment unsuitable for learning.


In case of breach of this code the CII reserves the absolute right to ask the attendee to leave the seminar and/or to withhold the CPD certificate awarded for that particular seminar.

Please respect the speaker and CII staff at all times.
